With the launch of yet another Mavic model, you are sure to be a little confused on what filters and accessories are cross-compatible. Here is a quick guide to help you determine which DJI Mavic Pro Accessories are compatible with the DJI Mavic Air:
Are DJI Mavic Pro Filters the same as Mavic Air filters?
No. The Mavic Pro has a camera that differs in both size and shape. Because of this, the DJI Mavic Air requires a different filter than the DJI Mavic Pro.
Will a DJI Mavic Air fit inside a Mavic Pro case?
No. The Mavic Air has a different body shape and footprint than the Mavic Pro, and is actually much smaller. However, if your case does not have a custom cutout for the Mavic Pro, it might also fit the Mavic Air.
Do Leg Extensions for the DJI Mavic Pro fit on the Mavic Air?
No. The size and shape of the arms on each model are also different, preventing you from using landing gear or leg extension kits for the Mavic Pro on the Mavic Air.
Does the Katana Mount from the DJI Mavic Pro work with the Mavic Air?
No. Because the Mavic Air has a different body size, a new Katana Mount is required to use your Mavic Air with an existing Mavic Pro Katana.
Will my DJI Mavic Pro Tablet Mount work with the Mavic Air?
Yes, if it mounts inside of the remote controller. The Mavic Air remote shares the same phone mount design as the Mavic Pro and Spark.
Will the DJI Mavic Pro Hood work with the Mavic Air?
No, the Mavic Air has a different sized camera and gimbal system than the Mavic Pro. You’ll l need a hood specifically designed for the Mavic Air.
